Partner, Senior Loan Officer

Location:  Birmingham, AL

Mr. Sumner is a graduate of Samford University.  He is a Partner and Senior Lending Officer at Principal Mortgage. His responsibilities include managing company operations and assisting the production staff and support staff.  Additionally, he assists in managing budget, production, profitability, and growth.

Previously, Mr. Sumner managed construction lending for all six branch locations of a regional mortgage company, in which annual production ranged from $40 – $50 million dollars.  While there, his personal production averaged at an annual production volume of $20,500,000. 

Mr. Sumner has served in various roles in the financial and insurance industries since 1992, including owning an insurance firm.

Mr. Sumner is a member of the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as President (2011).  He is a member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, where he has served on the Board of Deacons.  Other affiliates are Homewood Chamber of Commerce, Greater Birmingham Association of Realtors, & Mt. Brook Chamber of Commerce.
